How do I report graffiti?
If you see anyone tagging walls or are in the act of committing vandalism, immediately report it to police on 131 444.
If you have discovered graffiti that is is religiously/racially offensive or threatening, report it to police on 131 444.
You can report graffiti you find on public buildings and facilities like playgrounds, bus stops and benches, as well as private property. If your property is graffitied, please report it at goodbyegraffiti.wa.gov.au as soon as possible.
Rapid graffiti removal is seen as best-practice in graffiti reduction as it diminishes the level of recognition and reward achieved by graffiti vandals. Prompt graffiti removal also prevents assets from appearing uncared for.

Will City of Perth remove graffiti from private properties?
The City of Perth reports and responds to graffiti from most public and some private areas in accordance with the City of Perth Graffiti Treatment Procedure. The conditions for removal are outlined below.
Inclusions and Exclusions
The City WILL remove graffiti in the following circumstances:
- Graffiti that is visible from the property’s main street frontage(s);
- Graffiti to a maximum of 10 metres down any private laneway or alleyway
- Graffiti along any private laneway or alleyway where the main or additional public entry and/or exit is located within the said laneway or alleyway.
- Graffiti that has been applied to private buildings providing the graffiti meets parts a), b) and c) above;
- Graffiti located on all City of Perth assets
- Graffiti located at any point down any laneway or alleyway that is the property of the City of Perth
The City WILL NOT remove graffiti in the following circumstances:
- Painted signage
- Glass, Perspex, natural stone or metal surface scratching or etching
- Enamel surfaces
- Heritage buildings or structures
- Locations greater than three (3) metres above ground level
- Adjacent to any stairs, balcony or other platform where the graffiti is three (3) metres above ground level.
- Inside building sites or within fenced vacant or developed land.
- Hoardings and temporary fences or barriers.
- Mobile garbage bins.
- Interiors.
- General wear and tear marks, scratches or stains.
- Private laneways or alleyways other than those meeting 1b) or 1c) above.
- Surfaces and/or materials likely to be damaged by treatment methods.
The responsibility for reporting and removal of graffiti on private property belongs with the property owner.
