Exciting changes are coming for pet owners in 2025! The way you register your furry friends will transition to a centralised system called PetsWA, managed by the State Government.

Dog registration is due by 1 November each year. Please note that owners of unregistered dogs can incur a $200 on the spot fine by council rangers.


How do I change my pet registration?

If your circumstances change you need to let the City know. This includes your dog being sterilised, you moving from the City of Perth or becoming eligible for a Seniors card. Please contact the council in person or by phone or by using the online form.
